This Privacy Policy explains how CashTrack ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Ankit Bungaliya, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use cashtrack.lol (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

• Account information: Your email address and chosen username, collected when you register.
• Financial entries: Income, expense, and family transfer records that you voluntarily log, including descriptions, amounts, categories, and dates.
• Viewer passwords: Passwords you set to share your tracker with others, stored in our database.
• Usage data: Basic technical data such as browser type and access times, collected automatically by our infrastructure provider.

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or any sensitive financial credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To store and display your financial entries
• To allow you to share your tracker with family or trusted individuals
• To improve and maintain the Service
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform. Supabase uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security policies ensure that each user can only access their own data.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your passwords confidential.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider, who processes data on our behalf under their own privacy policy.
• Netlify: Our hosting provider, who may log basic access data.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or government authority.

5. Viewer Access

When you share your tracker link and viewer password with others, those individuals can view your financial data in read-only mode. You are solely responsible for who you share your credentials with. We recommend changing your viewer password if you believe it has been compromised.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at ankitbungaliya@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

CashTrack uses browser localStorage to store recently viewed trackers on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
